Interesting and stereotypical observation

Even in the states that Bush wins, the major metropolitan areas tend to be very strongly for Kerry. I guess you have the more sophisticated voters in the city who tend to be more socially liberal, where in the rural counties, it's simpler. Or the cities have a higher minority count, and that explains it. Whatever it is, it's an interesting phenomenon.

Even in Texas, Austin and El Paso both went to Kerry. This race is so close that it is completely feasible for both candidates to end up with 269 electoral votes. That would be amazing!
